Kathryn Steinbaugh, MA MFT is uniquely qualified to help men
and women deal with a range of today's complicated relationship
and intimacy concerns. These include loneliness, depression,
communication, trust issues, and more. Problems such as these
prevent us from realizing the love and happiness we deserve.
Together, we can discover the causes of such unhappiness
and focus on an individualized treatment plan.
Kathryn has worked with children, adults, couples, and families at Family Service Agency, State Social Services, Catholic Charities, Transitions, and has maintained a private practice for the last 12 years. She earned her Masters degree from the University of San Francisco in 1987. She also worked as a family and business mediator. She was trained in EMDR by its founder, Dr. Francine Shapiro, in 1995 and 1996.
Ms. Steinbaugh's interests include working with couples, adults, adolescents, and families in crisis, grief, health issues, and eating disorders. Her process of treatment integrates EMDR into a comprehensive therapeutic approach.
While she offers long-term therapy, Kathryn has also come to believe that result-oriented compassionate therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioral and Time-Limited dynamic therapy along with EMDR, (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) have shown that they can be just as effective.
